KOR HOTEL GROUP ANNOUNCES NEW DIRECTOR OF SALES AT SHERATON GATEWAY LOS ANGELES
June 2006 (Los Angeles) Kor Hotel Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Sheldon Johnson as the new Director of Sales for its Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Airport Hotel.
In his new position, Johnson is responsible for overseeing the success of the Shula's 347's private dining and directing the sales effort through the creation and implementation of proactive sales strategies. He will also assist with on-site sales training and development, as well as strengthen Gateway's relationships with key local sales affiliates.
Johnson joins Sheraton Gateway with over 16 years in the hospitality industry, most recently as Director of Sales at Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, and as Corporate Director of Sales in Florida for SunCruz Casino and Casino Princesa.
Last year, Gateway completed a $14 million renovation that reinvented its guest rooms and suites, outdoor pool terrace, fitness center, public and extensive meetings spaces, creating a stylish 802-room luxury boutique hotel feel within the framework of a grand, full-service and conveniently located airport hotel.
Sheraton Gateway premiered a full-service Starbucks café in Spring 2005 and celebrated Shula's 347 America's Steak House restaurant early Summer 2005. The steak house is the first west coast destination for Shula's and its design is custom tailored to Gateway's interiors.
Interview arrangements and photography (including headshots) are available upon request. Please contact Kor Hotel Group at the number listed above.
The Kor Hotel Group purchased Sheraton Gateway LAX in 2002.
