-- Hall of Fame football coach Don Shula selects newly renovated Sheraton Gateway to debut his 26th and first west coast restaurant --
Los Angeles, CA -- The National Football League's winningest coach Don Shula has announced
the opening of Shula's 347 at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel Los Angeles
Airport. This is the first Shula's restaurant to open in California and the west coast.
"The Sheraton Gateway is the perfect location for our next restaurant," said Don Shula. "Los Angeles
has a proud tradition of great sports teams and fans."
Shula's 347 at Sheraton Gateway has 96-dining room seats, an additional 44-seats in the bar and a
32-seat private dining room. The style of the restaurant has been uniquely tailored to Gateway's
sophisticated urban design with contemporary features such as state-of-the-art plasma televisions
and audio/video system. The menu will consist of everything from gourmet salads and specialty fish
to Certified Angus Beef® burgers and steaks.
"We are looking forward to our partnership with the Shula brand," said Michael Miner, General Manager
of Sheraton Gateway. "Shula's 347 restaurant is a great fit to our newly renovated property and will
offer guests and local residents an exceptional dining experience exclusive to the entire west
coast."
Under the management of Kor Hotel Group, Sheraton Gateway recently completed a $14 million renovation
that reinvented its guest rooms and suites, outdoor pool terrace, fitness center, public and extensive
meetings spaces, creating a stylish 802-room luxury boutique hotel feel within the framework of a
grand, full-service and conveniently located airport hotel. In addition to Shula's, a full-service
Starbucks Café will also open at the hotel this spring.
